Service terms

In effect 27 October 2026

The terms of the paid service, in plain language. The Terms of Use covering this website and the messages we send are a separate page.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms cover the paid services between Sector N9N (“we”, “us”), based in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, and the business that buys them (“you”). They are separate from our Terms of Use, which cover visiting this website and receiving messages from us.

Each service is bought on its own: the platform (section 2), a website (section 3), and anything else we quote. If anything here conflicts with something we have written to you directly, such as your website plan, that written document wins.

2. Your platform

Your platform is the CRM your business runs on. It is $500 USD a month, billed monthly in advance to the card you pay with, and the initial setup and ongoing support and maintenance are included. There is no setup fee.

Your price is locked in for as long as we work together. As your platform grows, the new tools built into it come at the same price.

Prices are in US dollars. If your card or bank converts from another currency, the exchange rate and any conversion fee are set by them, not by us. Applicable Canadian taxes (GST, and PST where it applies) are added unless you are outside Canada.

What's included:

  • Your CRM platform: full control, and room to grow
  • Initial setup of the automated workflows your business needs, included
  • Booking calendar set up and connected to your CRM, so every booking lands on the client's record
  • Text messages and emails branded with your business name, logo and colours
  • Missed-call text-back, so a caller you can't answer hears from you straight away
  • Calls in and out through your CRM on your business number, for customer conversations now and your team later
  • Estimates and invoices sent from one place
  • Online payments and booking deposits, through your own payment account
  • Google Business Profile connected, with automated review requests
  • Texting compliance: registration for your business number and consent on your website forms, done with you
  • Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other social accounts connected for scheduling
  • Staff accounts and roles, including new staff later
  • Tagging and contact management set up for how you work
  • Media storage
  • Ongoing maintenance and tech support from Carver
  • Ongoing coaching and business development when something comes up

These are some of the things you have access to, not the full list. New tools come out all the time: some are included in your platform, and others come from third parties and are purchased separately. Either way, I stay up to date with them, so I can help you with whatever you want to do, and you always know the cost before anything is added.

3. Websites

A website is a one-time build, starting at $2,000 USD. Every business is different, so before any work starts you get a written plan: every page, what goes on it and why, and the price. The plan is what you're agreeing to.

A build typically includes:

  • Research into what people in your area search for, compared with your competitors, local first.
  • Your customers worked out from that research and our conversations, with pages that speak to each of them.
  • Each service on its own page with its own pricing, a questions section on every service page, and your first blog posts answering what people ask most.
  • Every page built to be read by AI as well as Google.
  • Booking, forms and deposits connected to your platform.
  • Initial SEO: your Google Business Profile and social accounts lined up with the site.
  • Tracking built in, so we can see how people find and use your site and decide what to improve.
  • Hosting and a database set up for you, and your existing web address moved over to the new site.

Ongoing SEO is a separate monthly service. A build lays the foundation; ongoing SEO keeps the site moving as the way people search changes through the year.

4. What is billed to you directly

These are billed to you directly through your platform and its third-party providers, not by me, and I don't mark them up. They cost very little and I highly recommend them. Nothing is ever added without your OK.

  • A business phone number: Your text messages and appointment reminders run on it. You buy it through your platform, and I help you get it registered (A2P compliant) so your texts get delivered.
  • Business listings sync (optional, recommended): A third-party service (Yext) that publishes your business details to about 52 directories and search engines, for more visibility online. Roughly $40 USD a month, billed through your platform; set up with you once your site and profiles are ready.
  • Texts and calls, billed by use through your platform.
  • Card processing fees, charged by your payment provider.
  • Your domain name, renewed yearly.
  • Advertising spend, if you choose to advertise. It is paid by you to the platform you advertise on.
  • Any third-party tool or service you ask us to buy on your behalf. You know the cost before anything is bought.

5. What you own

You own everything we build for you: the website, its code, your platform and your data. Your content is yours too: your text, photographs, logo, customer records and contact list. We claim no ownership of any of it, and we do not sell or share it.

We set everything up and hold it in our own accounts while we build and look after it, so security codes come to us instead of waking you at night, and the work keeps a steady pace. It stays that way until you decide you want to learn it and run it yourself; if not, we keep maintaining it for you.

When the time comes, whether you want to run it yourself or go somewhere else, we transfer everything to you or to your new agency. If you already have a web address, we move it over to your new site; only in rare cases does a new one have to be bought, and we try to transfer your existing one first.

We do not transfer the systems or templates we reuse across clients beyond what is already in your accounts.

6. The free site analysis and review call

The site analysis is free. It runs Google's own PageSpeed Insights on your website from the “Complimentary analysis” buttons on our site, and we ask for your name, email and phone so we can send you the results and follow up with you about them. One per person.

After it you can book a review call, where we go through your result and how your site is put together and talk through what to change. The call is free.

Neither carries any obligation to go further, and we will not sign you up to anything from them.

7. Starting

Work begins once we have agreed what is being built and the payment has been made. The platform usually goes in first: while we build your website, your business number is registered for texting (A2P), which takes time to approve.

If we need more information from you along the way, we'll be in touch or send you a short fillable form.

8. Cancelling

There is no contract and no cancellation fee. You can cancel your platform anytime, and nothing further is charged.

When the platform ends, what runs on it stops: automated texts, reminders, follow-ups and booking. Everything we built is yours, and we hand it over as section 5 describes.

We may end the arrangement if an invoice goes unpaid for 30 days, or if we are asked to do something unlawful or dishonest.

9. What we need from you

The work depends on things only you have: answers about your business, access to your current accounts as we get to them, and decisions when we ask for them. Where we are waiting on you, timelines move.

You only text and email people who have agreed to hear from you, as Canada's anti-spam law requires. We set up the consent on your forms; keeping to it is yours.

You confirm that content you give us is yours to use: photographs, logos and text included.

10. What we do not promise

We do not promise a ranking position, a number of leads, a conversion rate, or a revenue figure. Anyone who does is guessing. What we do is track how people find and use your site and your platform, and use what we see to decide what to improve next.

Any figures shown on this website are either our own measurements, with the method stated, or published research with the source named and linked.

Google, Meta, phone carriers and the platform's own provider change their rules without notice. We keep up with them; we cannot control them.

11. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot be limited in law.

Otherwise, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits or lost business.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms will change over time. The service changes, the tools underneath it change, and the law changes. Saying otherwise would not be true.

Every version carries the date it took effect, at the top of this page, and the list of changes is kept at the bottom so you can see what moved and when. We do not quietly edit a clause and leave the date alone.

A material change (anything that alters what you pay, what you receive, how your work is handled, or how you cancel) is emailed to you at the address on your account at least 30 days before it takes effect. Not a banner you might not see, and not a line in a newsletter.

If you do not accept a material change, you may cancel before it takes effect. You are never held to terms you did not agree to.

Minor changes, such as fixing wording, a corrected link or a clearer example, are made without notice and appear in the change list below.

Your price is never changed this way. Your platform price is locked in for as long as we work together (section 2), and no revision of these terms alters that.

13. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there.

Questions about any of this: carver@sectorn9n.com.
